Alarm Clocks and Coffee

TGIF!! "I hope you have a very nice weekend. Maybe someone will catch your eye and you'll both smile and that'll be that. No complications. No heartbreak. Just that one warm moment! OR Maybe you'll get wicked laid. It's a magical world"

I started this blog 11 days ago and we're at 1000 hits!!! Thank you so much!
It's the weekend. Tiffany and I are going for dinner with Matt Zhou. I have to study. I have to buy new video-editing software. I have to submit myself for more auditions. I have to prepare for my new role coming up very soon! I have to meet with my new vocal coach. I have to mail some letters that have been lying around. I have to avoid the boy at the post office. I have to stop putting myself in awkward situations. I have to remember to use my fake name when I put myself in awkward situations. I have remember to stop putting myself in awkward situations where I have to use my fake name.

When I first moved to Toronto, I changed my phone number to the local area code. I went to Rogers with my dad and Tiffany and spent a few minutes talking to the Rogers employee about phones and things to do in Toronto since I was new to the city. We successfully changed my phone number and we were on our way. A few minutes later I got my first text message on my new phone number... FROM THE ROGERS EMPLOYEE. "I'd love to show you around town since you're new, maybe I can take you out sometime..". I didn't reply because, well, that's weird. And unprofessional for him. He sent a few more in the next few hours saying "I wish I would have asked you in person, but I wasn't sure if I should in front of your dad" and "I hope you don't think this is weird, I just felt a real connection with you".
Thank you sir, but the only connection I'd like is my phone connection. I walked into Rogers today to ask about my data plan. Apparently he's still working there. ...I'll go back another time.

Whoa, this blew my mind. It's called "Killing Bono"
Some are born great. Some achieve greatness.
Some have greatness thrust upon them.
And some have the misfortune
to go to school with Bono

It's a movie based on the autobiography book, also called "Killing Bono" written by Neil McCormick. It's about the McCormick brothers who went to school in Ireland and started a band at the same time as some of their other friends... These others turned out to be the extremely successful U2. The book tells the story of how he's been living in U2's shadows ever since. Robert Sheehan and Ben Barnes (who I've met and is very handsome) will be playing the McCormick brothers. I who wonder could play Bono. Any suggestions?
If you're a big U2 fan, you should definitley check out the book. The title makes it seem dark and maybe psychotic, but its more like a U2 biography, but told from a luckless man on the side, watching everything go right for them as the whole world around him fell apart. Sometimes it is life's losers who have the most interesting tales to tell.

Am I a bad person for liking this new song by Chris Brown? I have to admit, I feel guilty. He says the song isn't about Rihanna, but after you listen to the lyrics and see the music video starring a girl that somewhat resembles her... you be the judge. After their breakup and the restraining order, he posted a video on youtube with a song he wrote for her called "Changed Man".. but I'm so glad that Rihanna has moved on to a much classier, Matt Kemp.

Get wise, turn ugly, break promises, start fires

This just in... Did you know JK Rowling is wealthier than the Queen of England?!

Another thing about being back in Toronto is the amount of text messages I get between the hours of 12 and 3 am from friends telling me to go to bed. They are very thoughtful and caring about my constant lack of sleep. I had a headache all night last night, which kept me up. I tried to cure this with wine. I have this theory that a glass of wine can cure anything. A cold, heartache, insomnia, writer's block...

Do you believe in psychics? I went to a psychic a couple times who told me some crazy stuff. I don't think I'll share it here though, that's probably too personal. My future husband could be reading this! You can't tamper with that kind of stuff, right?
What about Horoscopes? It's cool to read horoscopes once in a while. I also find myself reading other people's horoscopes... Whoever I happen to be thinking of that day.One time I read my friend Dylan's horoscope to him and it said something about watching out for cars.. The next day he got in a car accident. He doesn't let me read his horoscope anymore. True story

Today I read your horoscope. Yes, you. Here it is:

"Today is a good day to just start over. Be wary of saving too much money, cause disaster could strike at any time, and I'm pretty sure heaven is just you sitting there wishing you bought an xbox cause it turns out you can take it with you, but there's nothing to buy in the great beyond. Be on the lookout for a new love! Everyone has kisses. Who is going to slip one into your pocket when you aren't looking? Your lucky numbers this week are: 1,2,3 all the way up to infinity.
I'm just saying, shit is going to go good for you."

Did you watch the Bachelor yesterday? Hey guys, you can watch this too. I know for a fact, because I watched the whole last season with a male friend. Hottie bachelor and pilot Jake Pavelka was my favorite and won me over when I saw him and Jillian on last season's Bachelorette. What won me over was the way he looked at her and how he just kissed her, interrupting her in the middle of her sentence. So romantic guys, take notes from this one.
Some of the girls on this show, however, made me want to throw up with their first impressions:
"How does it feel that you're talking to your future wife right now?" -- too strong
"Got your nose! Just kidding, I just wanted to make you laugh." -- how old are you?
"Can I feel your biceps? Do you have these guns registered?" --... lame.
"You better put on your seatbelt" *awkward... reeeally awkward pause* "Cause its gonna be a bumpy ride" --like I said, awkward.
"blahblahblahasdfa!@^!@#^" (something in Cambodian) which translated to "Jake, you can land your plane in my landing strip anytime" --... puke.

Today's Entertainment News:
  • Simpsons are about to present their 450th episode!
  • The pictures that surfaced of Elin, Tiger's wife, wearing her wedding ring were nothing to freak out over. Don't be fooled by the rocks that she's got. Turns out, the pictures were of ELIN'S TWIN SISTER Josephine and HER wedding ring.
  • Rihanna has a new boyfriend. Matt Kemp, from the LA Dodgers. Well done, RiRi.
  • Casey Johnson died. Who is she? I had to google this one myself. Her parents are rich and famous and that makes her a Hollywood socialite as well. Also, she is.. was(?)... Tila Tequila's fiance (who, in other news, is being a surrogate mother for her brother at the moment)
  • Ke$ha's album came out today. With the amazing success of "tik tok", the album will probably do very well!
  • SPOILER for Bachelor fans... The scandal I mentioned before: One of the producers had a relationship with one of the female contestants. SO unprofessional.
  • Vince Vaughn got married to his Canadian sweetheart!!! She's a real estate agent named Kyla Weber, from Okotoks, Alberta!! I wonder how they met.
  • Selena Gomez and Nick jonas are rumored to be back together. Woopdeedoo.
  • Bono wrote as a Guest Columnist in the New York Times in an article called Ten For The Next Ten . I don't care what anyone says, I love this man and his music and his passion. Hey, remember that time I hung out with Bono in his car?
  • Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson spent New year's Eve together. Hm, are they or aren't they a couple?
  • Lil Wayne's album postponed AGAIN to the summer. Some stores have already been advertising the release for January 2nd and some copies of the CD were accidentally sent to customers through Amazon last night, which then leaked online. Either way, when the album drops in the summer, Weezy will be in jail for weapon possession.
  • Sandra Bullock's "The Blind Side" is the first film with a female lead to hit the $200 million mark at the box office. True story, when I was about 4, I used to tell people that she was my mom. Don't ask why, I don't even know.
  • Betty White is going to receive a Lifetime Achievement award at the SAG's
  • Charlie Sheen returned to the set of "Two and a Half Men" after his arrest on Christmas day. He has a history of incidents with women from his past. In 1990 he "accidentally" shot his then fiance, Kelly Preston. They broke up shortly after and now she is married to John Travolta. Good decision, Kelly. Also, Rumored to have violently threatened his ex wife Denise Richards throughout their 5 year marriage
Okay, now this is just freakin sweet. Lady Gaga Barbies!!!

The End of Missing Someone

If you can't hurt, you can't heal.

I went to starbucks this morning and ordered a passion tea lemonade... They said they didn't have any more passion. Hm, sad.

I'm heading back to Toronto tonight. I'm both sad and relieved to leave Edmonton...
There's a difference between Toronto-Marley and Edmonton-Marley. I've had to ask myself a few times: "would Toronto-Marley do that?" And if she wouldn't, then I don't do that thing.

I had an amazing time at home in Edmonton. Every night was filled with excitement and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. Every moment. Back to Toronto and back to business. I'm gonna hit the ground running and not stop until... Well, I suppose my next trip to Edmonton. February.
I have to pack. I have to remember to bring everything. Especially my keys- or I'm gonna have a hard time getting into my condo.

Last time I was at the airport I started thinking about what would happen if you met the love of your life at an airport. An interesting concept. You don't know if they're arriving or departing. Domestic or international. Where they've been to before. How much baggage they've checked...The most exciting thing about meeting the love of your life at an airport is the fact that you'll probably never see them again. That way, this person can be whoever you want them to be. They could be a sloppy, conceited, inconsiderate hunk of junk who disrespects their mother.. but all you know is that they have gorgeous eyes and likes a venti caramel macchiato while they read the new york times and when your eyes meet your heart flutters a little bit.

I've always wanted to walk out of the doors of an airport to have loved ones anxiously waiting, excited to welcome me. Every time I arrive to the airport, I always find myself waiting for whoever is coming to pick me up. But its okay. Its nice to observe the rest of the people and their interaction. I like to see people reunited. Maybe that's a silly thing, but what can I say.. I like to see people run into each other, I like the kissing and the crying. I like the impatience, the stories that the mouth can't tell fast enough, the ears that aren't big enough, the eyes that can't take in all of the change...I like the hugging, the bringing together, the end of missing someone.
